The Drowsy Chaperone is a musical within a comedy that pays tribute to the Larger-Than-Life musicals of the 1920’s. The music begins, and the
Man in the Chair’s apartment is transformed; he stages the musical for us, and as he becomes more swept up in the love story – complete with gangsters, showgirls, and of course the Drowsy (drunk) Chaperone – the Man in the Chair brings us along with him… This light hearted musical speaks to the desire within all of us, to simply be entertained.
