The RPI Players invite you to attend their 274th show and the final production of their 81st season, 1776. During an unbearably hot and seemingly endless summer in Philadelphia, the Second Continental Congress stumbles their way through arguments, political alliances and bouts of homesickness toward the completion of a Declaration of Independence that almost wasn’t signed. This Tony Award-winning musical comedy about a rag-tag group of men and their journey in birthing a new nation is sure to provoke laughter, sympathy and moral ambiguity.
